Claveria, Masbate, [10.18.23] – A male suspect who is engaged in a street-level pushing in Claveria, Masbate was apprehended tonight.

Police Major Joenel C. Moratalla, Chief of Police of Claveria Municipal Police Station, named Napoleon Sabaulan y Delgado as the arrested suspect in the high-impact anti-narcotics operation.

The suspect from Sitio Kiputol, Barangay Pasig, Claveria, Masbate was caught violating Section 5 and 11 of Article II of Republic Act 9165 (The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).

Fourteen pieces of medium and small heat-sealed transparent sachet containing white crystalline substance believed to be methamphetamine hydrochloride or locally known as “shabu” were seized from the suspect’s possession.

The buy-bust was implemented by the personnel of Claveria Municipal Police Station (lead unit) under Police Captain Roderick Macararanga, Deputy Chief of Police of Claveria Municipal Police Station, Provincial Police Drug Enforcement Unit-Provincial Intelligence Unit – Masbate Provincial Police Office led by Police Captain Maria Dolores P. Abenia, and 502nd Regional Mobile Force Battalion in coordination to PDEA Regional Office 5.

San Jacinto, Masbate, [10.15.23] – A habal-habal driver in San Jacinto, Masbate was apprehended this afternoon for violation of Republic Act 9165.

Police Captain Vicenta P. Dimacuha, Officer-in-Charge of San Jacinto Municipal Police Station identified Angelo Toribio y Cañares alias “Gelo”, as the suspect.

The 28-year-old, male of Balcavem Street, District Number #2, San Jacinto, Masbate arrested at 3:25 PM in Sitio Padagiton, Barangay Calipat-an, San Jacinto, Masbate.

Alias Gelo was placed under arrest after transacting a sale with a police-poseur buyer with a one-piece heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet, suspected to be an illegal drug.

Subsequently, another two pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance suspected to be dangerous drugs placed inside a cigarette pack (Red Winston) were confiscated from his possession.

One piece genuine five hundred (PHP500.00) peso bill was used as buy-bust money, and one piece computer generated PHP500 peso bill with serial number UE288296, a cash amounting to PHP569.00 (drug proceeds) and one unit of black Kawasaki Bajaj, without plate number were confiscated.

Joint elements led by San Jacinto Municipal Police Station under Police Captain Vicenta P. Dimacuha together with 502nd Mobile Company Regional Mobile Force Battalion 5, Provincial Police Drug Enforcement Unit, and Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit in coordination with PDEA-5 conducted a buy-bust operation.

The actual markings, inventory, and sealing of evidence were done in the presence of the suspect and mandatory witnesses namely: Barangay Kagawad Shiena D. Villamor, Barangay Kagawad Rosie C. Anabe both of Barangay Calipat-an and Conrado G. Ramos Jr. media representative.

A BARANGAY COUNCILOR ARRESTED FOR ILLEGAL DRUG POSSESSION AND VIOLATION OF THE COMPREHENSIVE FIREARMS AND AMMUNITIONS REGULATIONS ACT IN MASBATE

The apprehended suspect is an incumbent Barangay Kagawad of Tanque, Pio V. Corpuz, Masbate.

Pio V. Corpuz, Masbate, [08.18.23] – An incumbent Barangay Kagawad of Tanque, Pio V. Corpuz was arrested through a search warrant early dawn today, a police report said.

In a police report received by www.philexaminer.com, a male suspect was arrested in a search warrant implementation in Sitio Sanggutan, Barangay Tanque for illegal drug possession.

The arrested is Leandro Batuto y Daligdig alias Yan Yan, 33 years old.

Batuto is a high-value target personality, according to the police.

The following items were seized from the suspect’s possession:

five large-sized heat-sealed plastic sachets containing a white crystalline substance,

five medium-sized heat-sealed plastic sachets containing a white crystalline substance, and

two live ammunition for caliber .45.

Pio V. Corpuz Municipal Police Station (lead unit) under Police Captain Bonny A. Abella, Officer-in-Charge, Masbate Provincial Police Office Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit 5, ODRDO – RPDEU, Masbate Team, Esperanza Municipal Police Station, 502nd Mobile Company Regional Mobile Battalion 5, and 502nd Mobile Company implemented the search warrant.

A case for violation of Section 5 of Article II of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) and Republic Act 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulations Act) will be filed against the suspect.

LGU – CATAINGAN EMPLOYEE SHOT DEAD

The victim was shot by unknown perpetrator/s in Sitio Burabod.

Masbate City, [01.17.23] – A male casual employee at the Local Government Unit of Cataingan was killed tonight after being shot by unknown suspect/s.

According to a report received by www.philexaminer.com from Camp Bonny S. Serrano the shooting incident transpired in Sitio Burabod, Barangay Abaca, Cataingan, Masbate at 5:00 PM.

The victim was Noel Arizala y Legnis, 50 years old from Sitio Burabod, Barangay Abaca, Cataingan, Masbate.

Arizala succumbed to fatal gunshot injuries on the spot.

The motive in the shooting incident is unknown as of posting.

ONE DIED, AND ANOTHER WOUNDED IN BALENO ROADSIDE SHOOTING INCIDENT

The fraternity members of Alpha Phi Omega were ambushed by still unidentified suspect/s.

Masbate City, [12.17.22] – A member of Alpha Phi Omega has died while another fraternity member was wounded in a midnight roadside shooting incident on Friday.

According to a report from Police Lieutenant  Antonio Aa. Padilla, Jr, Officer-in-Charge of Baleno Municipal Police Station, the shooting incident transpired in Barangay Cagpandan, Baleno, Masbate.

The police identified the victims as Renante Parohinog y Marcial, 37 years old, married, a security guard from Barangay Poblacion, Aroroy, Masbate, and Aljon Cortes y Curimao, 32 years old, married, and a small-scale miner from Barangay Lahong, Baleno, Masbate.

Parohinog succumbed to a gunshot wound on his chest while Cortes was wounded and treated at the Masbate Provincial Hospital.

Their companion, Brandon Cortes y Andeza, 19 years old and a Grade 11 of Barangay Lahong, Baleno, Masbate, was reported unharmed in the incident.

The police investigation revealed the victims attended an anniversary (fraternity) party left the venue at around 11:30 PM and proceeded to Barangay Manoboc, Baleno on board two single motorcycles (Black Bajaj and Yamaha XSR 155).

Upon reaching the area of Cagpandan, they pulled over on the roadside to pee.

When they about to embarked on their motorcycle to resume their trip – they were fired upon by the suspect/s from the hilly part of the road.

The wounded victims were assisted by Divino Laurio y Riva, an enlisted Philippine Navy personnel, and Roy Nagtalon y Nacionales to be brought to the local hospital helped Parohinog to be brought to the Baleno Rural Health Unit.

The wounded victims were seen by Laurio and Nagtalon while passing the crime scene.

One caliber .45 with an inserted magazine loaded with one live ammunition and an empty cartridge for the same caliber, and one black sling bag with documents and pieces of evidence on the crime scene was turned over to the police by Laurio and Nagtalon.
