A babysitter was arrested by Tabaco City police for kidnapping at the Port of Tabaco City.

Tabaco City, [06.08.18] – An eight days old infant who was allegedly abducted by a 30 years old babysitter was successfully rescued by Tabaco City police and apprehended the lady suspect inside the Port of Tabaco City at 2:00 o’ clock this afternoon.

A report reaching Camp Simeon A. Ola revealed that the suspect identified as Jocelyn Cruzada y Bitancur, 30 years old of Barangay San Isidro, Castilla, Sorsogon was arrested after arriving from Catanduanes.

Cruzada’s sudden disappearance in the household in Barangay Santo Domingo, Virac, Catanduanes was reported immediately by the infant’s mother to the Virac Municipal Police Station after discovering that her child was missing together with the nanny.

The successful apprehension was made after the personnel of Women and Child Protection Desk [WCPD] of Virac Municipal Police Station coordinated and alerted the Tabaco City Police Station about the reported case of  abduction.

The suspect is now under police custody and a case of Violation of Article 270 of Revised Penal Code (Kidnapping of Minor) is being readied against Cruzada.
