Sorsogon City, [04.09.18] – The Pilar Municipal Police has failed to file a case of reckless imprudence resulting to homicide against the suspect in the death of a 41 years old who was hit allegedly by a gray Toyota vehicle.
Police Chief Inspector Ruel M. Pedro, Chief of Police of Pilar Municpal Police Station told the www.philexaminer.com this morning in a phone call in a follow-up interview of the progress investigation on the vehicular accident reported on the evening of April 8, 2018.
According to Police Chief Inspector Pedro, no case has been filed yet against the suspect because he remains at-large and unidentified as this station is still trying to identify the owner of the vehicle, he explained.
The victim identified as Roderick Madelar y Lisay, 41 years old laborer of Barangay Salvacion, Pilar, Sorsogon.
Madelar was walking unsteadily into the left portion of second lane of Maharlika Highway going to his home on that evening when he was bumped by the vehicle [gray Toyota] from Sorsogon City – the vehicle has stopped momentarily, but fled afterwards towards the direction of Legazpi City witnesses told the police.
The victim died upon arrival at the Vicente L. Peralta Memorial Hospital in Barangay Cumadcad in Castilla town.
