Legazpi City, [12.05.17] – A 64 years old housewife died after she was shot by still unidentified suspects and leaving two other wounded ladies in Pio Duran, Albay this morning, police report said
Albay Police Provincial Office Public Information Officer, Police Chief Inspector Arthur R. Gomez has identified the following victims as; Robella Orogo Clemente, 64 years old, married of Barangay 3 Joan Barazona y Manjares, 38 years old, injured and Salve Oringo y Mullasgo, 45 years old of Barangay 1.
Clemente died while Barazona and Oringo who were reported wounded survived in the attack.
The shooting incident transpired today in front of the house of Clemente in market site located in Barangay 3, at 10:30 o’ clock in the morning
Pio Duran Municipal Police Station is still conducting investigation and no detailed information yet on the identities and motive to the shooting as of posting time.
Meanwhile, on November 28, 2017 in Barangay Cavasi, Ligao City and exactly three days after the launching of the nationwide 18 days campaign to end violence against women, a 37 years old housewife and mother of three was hacked to death by her jealous husband.
Eight days before the nationwide 18 day campaign this December 12, the Pio Duran shooting rampage followed suit, thus making Ligao City and Pio Duran, Albay a risky place for women.
