viracVirac, Catanduanes, [10.09.17] – The Catanduanes Philippine National Police in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Regional Office – 5 has served a search warrant order anew against Attorney Eric Isidoro, Angelica Balmadrid, Engineer Gil Balmadrid, Lorenzo Flores Piñera II, alyas “Kidot”,and Paulo Uy on alleged violation of Republic Act 9165.

A joint personnel of Virac Municipal Police Station, Catanduanes Police Intelligence Branch [CatPIB], Catanduanes Provincial Public Safety Company [CatPPSC] and PDEA-RO5 led by Police Chief Inspector Ma. Cecilia Zuñiga.

The implementation of the search warrant number 2017-52  was issued by Honorable Lelu P. Contreras, Presiding Judge of Regional Trial Court Virac.

Attorney Eric Isidoro, Angelica Balmadrid, Engineer Gil Balmadrid, Lorenzo Flores Piñera II, alyas “Kidot”,and Paulo Uy were the same respondents in the second amended complaint which was submitted as a supplemental to the previous complaint and amended complaint filed earlier on November 28, 2016 and December 9, 2016 for violation of Section 8, Article II of Republic Act 9165.

The clandestine shabu laboratory built inside the leased property of Angelica Balmadrid was raided last November 2016.

The raided drug laboratory was considered to be the biggest discovered  shabu laboratory by the authorities and has a capacity to manufacture large quantities of methamphetamine hydrochloride or commonly known as “shabu” based on the inventoried laboratory equipment, a high ranking police official said.
