Tabaco City, [06.08.15] – Elements of Tabaco City Police has successfully launched an anti-narcotics drive and has resulted to the arrest of four persons, five plastic sachets of suspected methamphetamine hydro chloride, drug paraphernalia, one caliber .38 and five live ammunition on Sunday.
The team under Police Superintendent Liane Mandane Valde Velde, chief of police of Tabaco City conducted a search warrant at the residence of Mervin Rolda, 30 years old and Clarence Carael alyas Kano, 43 years old of Purok 6, Santo, Cristo, Tabaco City at 7:40 in the morning of June 7, 2015.
A search warrant issued by Judge Alben Casimiro Rabe of Branch 15, Regional Trial Court, Tabaco City with warrant number T-2015-76 against the suspects yielded five plastic sachets containing suspected methamphetamine hydro chloride, one caliber .38 with five live ammunition.
During the process of serving of the search warrant, two male persons were also inside the residence of the two suspects. They were identified as Eric Adina Matias, 39 years old, single and George Barizo, 38 years old and a prison guard of PDEA-5.
PDEA-5 Assistant Regional Director, Director II Rayford A. Yap has issued a stern message to all PDEA-5 personnel that – “nobody is exempted from criminal and administrative liabilities whoever he is.”
The statement was relayed by Public Information Office of PDEA-5 to the Philippine Examiner in connection to the arrest of Barizo who was confiscated with caliber .38 during the Sunday morning raid in Santo Cristo, Tabaco City.
The arrested suspects are now facing violation of Section 11 and 12 of Article II of Republic Act 9165.
