Sorsogon City, [08.21.17] – The cadaver which was found in Barangay Salvacion, Bacon District on [August 17] Thursday evening was positively identified by his relatives, a local funeral parlor said.

In an interview with the relatives by the Wow News Team the cadaver was identified on Sunday as Benny Glipo, 21 years of Barangay Balocawe, Matnog, Sorsogon.

Glipo’s body was discovered in Barangay Salvacion, Bacon District at 6:30 in the evening and was reported by Gina Briones, a Barangay Health Worker of Barangay Salvacion to the police at 7:00 o’ clock in the evening of August 17.

The body was discovered wearing a jacket with black white stripes, black short pants and black “nike” slippers with nine gun shot wounds on his body.

Police found five cartridges near the victim’s body and was brought to the Sorsogon Police Crime Laboratory for ballistic examination.

It can be recalled that the parent of the victim aired a public service over a radio station in Sorsogon, that their son was missing since August 3, 2017.

Glipo’s death came a day after Punong Barangay Oscar Laguna Jetomo of Marinas, Sorsogon City was shot dead.

Sorsogon Police is yet to release their progress report and the ballistic results on the case and provide update to the victim’s family.
