Legazpi City, [07.12.17] – Five suspected drug pushers were rounded-up by in anti-illegal drugs operations launched by combined elements of Castilla Municipal Police Station, Municipal Drug Enforcement Unit, Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit, Sorsogon Police Provincial Office and Regional Drug Enforcement Unit on Tuesday in Barangay Cumadcad and San Vicente, Castilla, Sorsogon.
Police Superintendent Nonito Furio Marquez, Police Community Relation -Public Information Office, Sorsogon Police Provincial Office revealed that the first buy-bust operation was launched by the combined elements of Drug Enforcement Unit of Castilla MPS–MDEU, Sorsogon PPO – PDEU and RID 5-RDEU in Barangay San Vicente.
The suspects were identified as one Hazel Reyes y Rayo, alias Apple, 28 years old, single, GRO and resident of Sta. Maria, Bulacan, Elvie Banadera Laura, 32 years old, single of Rapu-Rapu, Albay and Jose Pintado y Morales alias Bong, 46, years old, driver and resident of Shepherd Park, Caloocan City.
The San Vicente operation, were held in possession of one piece of heat sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu in exchange of one thousand Pesos bill inside Toyota Hi Ace Van driven by the suspect Jose Pintado y Morales.
The second buy bust operation has resulted to the arrest of Rose Garcia and Edgar Capillado, alias Junior in Purok Everlasting, Cumadcad, Castilla, Sorsogon.
One heat sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu (Obtained thru buy-bust from Rose Garcia), one disposable headless lighter (orange/red) with inserted rolled aluminum foil and one empty pack Marlboro containing two heat sealed transparent plastic sachets (Obtained from the possession of Edgar Capillado).
Eight heat sealed transparent plastic sachets and two strips of used aluminum foils was also found inside the black leather wallet was confiscated from the the possession of Rose Garcia during the search.
The suspects were charged for for violation of Section 5 and Section 11 of Republic Act 9165.
