Legazpi City, [06.21.17] – Two Philippine Army detachments in the municipality of Labo, Camarines Norte were reportedly harassed by suspected members of New People’s Army this morning that lead to one death on the rebel side and one wounded on the government troops, a report reaching Camp Simeon A. Ola said.
In a forwarded incident report by Labo Municipal Police Station to the PRO – 5 Regional Public Information Office, the first encounter was reported to Police Senior Inspector Elisaldy C. Calingacion, Community Police Action Center -2 Commander at 3:00 o’ clock in the morning, June 21, 2017 in Barangay Dumagmang, Labo, Camarines Norte.
An undetermined number of communist terrorist clashed with the Philippine Army troops that resulted to one killed in action and wounded in action from the government troops.
Names of the wounded soldier and the lone casualty in the Dumagmang encounter are withheld in the police incident report.
The second encounter was recorded at 6:00 o’ clock in the morning in Barangay Mahawan-hawan, Labo, Camarines Norte.
No reported casualty on both side.
