Sorsogon City, [05.30.17] – A jobless mother of three from Rawis, Legazpi City was crushed by guilt on Saturday inside the Sorsogon Provincial Jail as she will be be separated from her children after she was arrested by police for illegal possession of suspected methampethamine hydrochloride.
According to Sorsogon Provincial Jail officials, the suspect, Jolina Cortez, 30 years old, with live-in partner from Barangay Rawis, Legaspi City tried to sneak illegal drugs inside the jail when nabbed.
Cortez was inside Sorsogon Provincial Jail, Capitol Compound in Barangay Burabod, Sorsogon City to visit his partner, Edison Villanueva, a detainee facing illegal drug case when she was apprehended by the female personnel Provincial Public Safety Company who seized three plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected to be “shabu” placed on her vagina.
The prohibited drugs was wrapped on a small brown envelope tightly concealed inside on her worn sanitary napkin.
A case for violation of Section 11 of Republic Act 9165 was filed by the Sorsogon City Police Station against the suspect, Police Superintendent Dionesio T. Laceda, said.
