Matnog,Sorsogon, [05.20.17] – A drug suspect was nabbed in buy bust operation by joint elements of Station Drug Enforcement Unit of Matnog and Sta. Magdalena and Sorsogon Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit in coordination with Philippine Drug Eenforcement Agency [PDEA] at around 12:15 o’ clock in the morning of May 19, 2017 at Barangay Camcaman, Matnog, Sorsogon.
In a news release by Police Superintendent Nonito Furio Marquez, Police Community Relation-Public Information Office of Sorsogon Police Provincial Office, Matnog Municipal Police Station has identified the suspect as Gino Gacis Garduque, 28 years old, single of Barangay Gadgaron, Matnog, Sorsogon.
The lawful body search to the suspect has resulted to the recovery of the following:
a.one  piece of heat sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected as ”SHABU”;
- one  unit Samsung cell phone;
- One  transparent plastic container containing seven  heat sealed transparent plastic containing white crystalline substance suspected as”SHABU”;
- one five hundred peso bill;
- one  pc colored red lighter; and
- Wallet containing ID, documents cash amounting to four hundred pesos.
Likewise, the apprehended suspect is a Municipal Drug Surrenderee during the conduct of Oplan Tokhang, Police Chief Inspector Jeric Don Sadia, said.
“Since the suspect was arrested in a drug cleared barangay, Camcaman will undergo a process based on Dangerous Drugs Board [DDB] Regulation No. 2, series of 2017 which provides that in the event of new reports regarding any illegal drug activities, the status of the concerned cleared brgy shall not be automatically reverted to drug affected barangay.The oversight committee will validate first the report. Likewise, BADAC is mandated to convene, hold a barangay assembly and assess the status in the area.”, the statement said.
Since the launching of One Sorsogon Project in the province, numerous information were received by this office through our hotline that resulted to the arrest of the suspect,” Police Superintendent Marquez quoted PCI Sadia in his report.
