In a statement, Police Senior Inspector Maria Luisa C. Calubaquib, PRO-5 Public Information Officer has quoted Police Chief Superintendent Melvin Ramon G. Buenafe the Bicol PNP head’s interest to get into the bottom of the charges that is being claimed by former policemen – Vincent M. Tacorda against his former superiors in Catanduanes Provincial Command who allegedly ordered the liquidation of a certain, Samuel Rojas.

“They cannot question their relief order from Catanduanes Police Provincial Office to PNP Regional Headquarters in Camp General Simeon A. Ola as there is  a probable cause against them to be relieved from their former assigments,” PSI Calubaquib explained.

They can bring their grievance to the proper forum, Calubaquib averred.

At the time of their arrest, PO1 Tacorda was assigned at the Investigation Section of Catanduanes Police Provincial Office in Camp Francisco V. Camacho, while PO1 Bellen was assigned at the Catanduanes Police Provincial Public Safety Company [PPSC], also in Camp Camacho.

Tacorda continue to report to his office and Bellen was ordered to remain at the PPSC. Two weeks after, a team led by Police Inspector Rogelio Hernandez caught Tacorda in the act again of using illegal drug with a companion identified as Ronald Tolentino in Barangay Gogon Sirangan, Virac, Catanduanes at 9:20 o’ clock in the evening of October 24, 2013.

Tacorda and Tolentino were armed with their service pistols, but without gun ban exemptions from the Commission on Election at the time of apprehension.

Tacorda has claimed complicity to the plot to kill the 56 years old aide at Viga Central Elementary School that he accepted the task upon the order of his superiors.

He admitted that he executed the plan, but  Rojas survived the attack.

The former policeman has implicated the former head of PNP Catanduanes Police Senior Supterintendent Jesus Martirez and Police Senior Inspector Nathaniel Jacob, the former chief of police of Viga Municipal Police Station.

The accusation made by Tacorda came after he tendered his letter of irrevocable resignation on April 26, 2017 to Police Senior Superintendent Jacinto Culver N. Sison, Group Director of PNP Regional Headquarters Support Group [RSHG] in Camp General Simeon Ola in Legazpi City.

The griping former policeman has cited that he can no longer feel the fulfillment in his work as the mounting pressure has greatly affected his family.

He also lamented that his contributions to the the anti-illegal drugs campaign were ignored by his superiors in the provincial command in Catanduanes, who caused his transfer to Camp Ola from Camp Camacho.

“My relief is a demotion” said Tacorda.
