Legazpi City, [04.13.17] – A buy-bust operation has ended in a bloody shootout on Wednesday evening killing the suspected watchlisted pusher in Barangay Lamba, Legazpi City, a report reaching Camp Simeon A. Ola said.

In a report by Legazpi City Police Station to Albay Police Provincial Office, the incident transpired at 9:45 o’ clock in the evening of April 12, 2017.

According to Police Senior Inspector Arthur R. Gomez, Public Information Officer of Albay Police Provincial Office, the suspect was identified as James Baraquiel, a Legazpi City Police Station watchlisted pusher and surenderer in Oplan Double Barrel-Alpha and a resident of Barangay Rizal, Legazpi City.

A  joint operatives composed of Legazpi City Police Station personnel and Police Intelligence Branch led by Police Senior Inspector Augusto S. Ocfemia, Jr under the supervision of Police Suprintendent Nilo S. Berdin Jr, Chief of Police, Legazpi City Police Station in coordination with PDEA – RO5 conducted a buy-bust operation against the suspect.

One caliber .38, three spent shells, one big plastic sachet believed to be shabu was found inside the left secret pocket, three small plastic sachet was also found inside the right pocket and one fake PNP identification card bearing the name of PO3 James Baraquiel, a media witness said.
