Legazpi City, [04.06.17] – The Culinaria Albay will be among the visible participants in today’s opening of Madrid Fusion Manila 2017 at the SMX Convention Center in fulfilling its mission to push the tourism industry of Bìkól region.

According to Mr. Renato Jao also known as “Bìkólánó Man” the Culinaria Albay is again participating this year gastronomic gathering for the third time, to continue the region’s visibility in international expositions to help boost farther the local and regional tourism industry.

There are wide array of authentic Bìkólánó dishes that we can be proud of – these Bìkólánó mainstay dishes, like the iconic Bìkól Express, Pìnángát  and Láing of Albay, the Kinágáng and Bálukó in Sorsogon, in Catanduanes they have their signature Sumán Látik, the creamy Cárméládó, home made Corned beef and Tápá in Masbate, the Kinálás of Naga City  and the famous Pili rolls of Camarines Norte.

This year Madrid Fusion Manila 2017 the Culinaria Albay Pavilion is participated by Albay local-based business establishments that includes: Albay Pili, Don Juan Guinobatan longganisa, 1st Colonial Creamery, Bicol’s Best, Balay Cena Una, 528 Ilawod and Tyler’s.

They occupy a 54 square meter showcasing their individual authentic and traditional products that are distinctly Albayano product, Jao explained.

The Culinaria Albay pavilion is part of Representative Joey Sarte Salceda’s 2nd Congressional District Office support for the local tourism promotion with the support of Director Maria Ong – Ravanilla and the Department of Tourism – Bicol.

Madrid Fusion Manila has been one of the biggest food events in the world since its establishment in 2003. It’s the largest culinary event ever to hit the Philippines.

It has brought together the most influential and innovative chefs from Spain, the Philippines and Asia in a series of events showcasing progressive gastronomical, technological innovation and the latest culinary trends and techniques.
