Tabaco City, [03.30.17] – Two fishing vessels and it’s fishing crews were apprehended on Wednesday by personel of 501st Maritime Police for violation of Section 31 of City Ordinance 05-2009 [Total Banning the Operation of Commercial Fishing vessels in the municipal waters of Tabaco City].

In an interview with Police Senior Inspector Nemesio D. Vocal, Jr of 501st Maritime Police Station in Tabaco City, a seaborne patrol operaton conducted of the waters of Barangays Natunawan and San Miguel island has apprehended the suspects, fishing in the prohibited municipal waters of the city.

The seaborne operation led by Fernando L. De la Cruz has apprehended two commercial fishing boats in the prohibited area of Tabaco Bay.

Apprehended persons were identified as: Carlito Juan y Bierzo, 54 years old owner and skipper of F/B Sheena Mae of San Carlos, Tabaco City, Cano Reygene y Calleja, 38 years old of Barangay Payahan, Malinao, Albay, Sapiter Junnel y Alonzo, 18 years old  of San Carlos, Tabaco City, Carillo Rusty, 18 years old resident of Barangay Payahan, Malinao, Albay, Carillo, Mark Karlo y Villarba, 20 years old of San Carlos, Tabaco City, Cerez Ely y Bien, 53 years old of  San Carlos, Tabaco City, Carillo Joven y Valler, 26 years old of San Carlos, Tabaco City and Carillo Junnel y Valler, 28 years old of  San Carlos, Tabaco City and Carillo Renel y  Benbenuto, 39 years old of San Carlos, Tabao City.

Confiscated items were the following, two units of fishing boats F/B Sheena Mae and F/B CORAVIL with fishing gears and fish catch locally known as  “Kalapato” with an estimated commercial value of PhP100,000.00.

The fishing boat is owned by Nelson Carillo y Benbenuto, Arrested persons are facing charges for violations of Section 31 of City Ordinance 05-2009.
