Legazpi City, [03.30.17] – At least two persons were arrested by police in two separate implementations of warrants of arrests in the municipalities of San Andres, Catanduanes and in Castilla Sorsogon – the two suspects are both facing charges of violations of Republic Act 7610, a report reaching Camp Simeon A. Ola said.
According to Police Senior Inspector Maria Luisa C. Calubaquib, spokesperson of PR0-5 Regional Public Information Office the first suspect was identified as Elbert Somigao y Acros, 26 years old, farmer, a resident of Barangay Batong Paloway, San Andres, Catanduanes.
Somigao was arrested by members of San Andres Municipal Police Station in Barangay Batong Paloway at 4:30 o’ clock in the morning of March 30, 2017 by virtue of warrant of arrest issued by Judge Lelu P. Contreras of Regional Trial Court, Branch 43, Virac, Catandunes for Rape in relation to Republic Act 7610 docketed under criminal case number 5766.
The 10th Municipal Most Wanted Person of San Andres, Catanduanes is now under police custody with no bail recommended.
In the mucipality of Castilla, Sorsogon, another wanted person was also arrested by members of Castilla Municipal Police Station in Barangay San Isidro, Castilla, Sorsogon.
The suspect, Tirso Reales y Bulso,44 years old, married, driver of Barangay San Isidro, Castilla, Sorsogon was arrested on March 29, 2017 at 10:00 o’ clock in the morning.
A warrant of arrest issued by Judge Flerida F. Zaballa – Banzuela, Presiding Judge of Regional Trial Court, Branch 51, Sorsogon City dated March 10, 2014 for Violation of Section 5[b] of Republic Act 7610 docketed under criminal case number 2014-8941.
The suspect was directed by the court to post bail in the amount of Php120,000.00.
