Camalig, Albay, [03.21.17] – Another additional statistic of vehicular accident was entered again in the pages of police blotter entry of Camalig Municipal Police Station yesterday evening, after a sedan type has collided head-on with a Philtranco bus along Maharlika highway in Barangay Ilawod, Camalig, Albay, police report said.
The bloody collision between the Toyota Altis and Philtranco bus occurred at 9:45 o’ clock in the evening of March 20, 2017 that killed three persons and injured three others.
Initial traffic investigation conducted disclosed that Philtranco bus was transversing from Guinobatan, Albay towards Legazpi City while the Toyota Altis was traversing on opposite direction when suddenly smashed against the bus.
Police identified the victims on board the Toyota Altis as Juliana Ayende, 63 years old of Barangay Pinaric, Legazpi City, Mary Jane Ayende, driver, 35 years old of Barangay Taysan, Legazpi City and Joshua Milano, a helper from Pawili, Pili, Camarines Sur.
The three injured were Jamir Barado, 8 years old, Kathleen Barado y Ayende, 3 years old, both residents of Taysan, Legazpi City and Mylene Vargas, 35 years old of Pawili, Pili, Camarines Sur.
The injured are now confined at the Bicol Regional Training and Teaching Hospital.
The driver of Philtranco bus with plate number ACD 1496 driven was identified by Police as Neil Pinongpong y Redoble, 33 years old of Apelo Cruz Street, Pasay City.
He is now under police custody and necessary charges is being prepared against him.
Last February 2 this year, a Philtranco bus with plate number ABG 8685 also figured in an accident after smashing on acacia tree along the Maharlika Highway in Peñafrancia, Daraga, Albay that killed its two passengers due to mechanical trouble.
