Daraga,Albay, [03.20.17] – Another vehicular accident has claimed another life on the road and incurred damages to properties after three vehicles figured in traffic accident this morning in Purok -1, Barangay Villahermosa, Daraga, Albay, poice report said.
According to traffic incident report, while the vehicle 2 [Hino trailer] and vehicle 3 [Sino trailer] were heading towards Sorsogon loaded with tower crane – upon reaching at place of accident, vehicle 3’s load accidentally hit the branch of the acacia tree that caused its load to fell and hit the incoming vehicle 1 which is heading to Daraga poblacion.
The vehicle 1 lost control and swerved to the opposite lane and bumped the Hino trailer head on.
The driver of vehicle 1 was identified as Jason Macapagal of Barangay Bulabog Pilar Sorsogon. He died on the spot.
The Hino trailer truck with plate number CUX 761 was driven by Jerry Broce y Cajocson of Calamba, Laguna and the Sino trailer truck with plate number ADA 7779 was driven by Afredo China y Soriano of Malasiqui, Pangasinan.
The two drivers are now under police custody.
Meanwhile, another motocycle accident along Maharlika highway was reported to Daraga Municipal Police Station on Sunday evening.
The incident occurred at se Purok -6, Barangay Malabog, Daraga, Albay. The driver was dentified as Franz Josef Ravago y Nosares, 33, male of Paulate Street, Guinobatan, Albay being the driver of Chery hatchback plate no. ZTN 462.
The victim was heading towards Guinobatan Albay from Daraga on board his motorcycle swerved to the left side of the road and smashed into a concrete fence.
The driver sustained injuries and the motorcycle incurred damages and mechanical trouble is being considered as the cause of the accident, the report said.
The Villahermosa traffic incident is the latest reported tragic road accident this month following the accident last February 2 this year wherein two passengers have died along the Maharlika Highway when a Philtranco bus with plate number ABG 8685 also lost its control and rammed on acacia tree.
