Legazpi City, [03.16.17] – A marginal fisherman from Sitio Napayawan, Barangay Amotag, Aroroy, Masbate is facing charges for violation of Republic Act 10654  after he was arrested by police in Mandaon, police report reaching Camp Simeon A. Ola said.

In a forwarded information sent by Masbate Police Provincial Office to the PRO-5, the lone suspect was identified as Pablo Capinig y Donggon of Sitio Napayawan, Barangay Amotag, Aroroy, Masbate.

He was apprehended at about 8:53 o’ clock in the morning of March 15, 2017 at  the sea water of Barangay Bugtong, Mandaon, Masbate.  Pablo Capinig y Donggon of Sitio Napayawan, Barangay Amotag, Aroroy, Masbate.

The suspect was caught by the personnel of Mandaon Municipal Police Station and members of Mandaon local government unit engaging in illegal fishing  using dynamite at the seawaters of Barangay Bugtong, Mandaon, Masbate.

The seaborn operation was under the direct supervision of Mandaon Mayor  Kristine Salve Hao Kho  implemented by Police Senior Inspector Julius I. Prima, Officer-In-Charge of Mandaon Municipal Police Station.

Recovered from the suspect were one bottle of  locally manufactured improvised  dynamite, assorted fish and his small boat.

Apprehended suspect was under police custody and appropriate charge for violation of  Republic Act  10654 with the used of dynamite will be filed against him.
