Legazpi City, [02.26.17] – At least two male persons were reportedly killed in the municipalities of Jovellar and in Libon, while one elderly woman was wounded in Legazpi City – in three shooting incidents police reports reaching Camp Simeon A. Ola today, police said.
According to Police Senior Inspector Arthur R. Gomez, the spokesperson of Albay Police Provincial Office, the first shooting incident was reported by Legazpi City Police Station, followed by Jovellar Municipal Police Station and the last incident report was reported by the Libon Municipal Police Station to the Albay Police Provincial Office this Sunday.
The first shooting incident was reported to Legazpi City Police Station by Romeo Millare y Aringo, 46 years old of Crossing, Homapon Legazpi City.
According to the police report, the shooting incident was reported at 3:00 o’ clock in the morning of February 26, 2017. The victim was identified as Norma Millare y Aringo, 73 years old widow of Sitio Crossing, Homapon, Legazpi City.
She was wounded on her right thigh and was brought to Bicol Regional Training and Teaching Hospital. Motive of the shooting incident is still under investigation.
The first shooting incident took place in a remote village of Barangay Floresta, Jovellar, Albay. The shooting incident took place at 7:00 o’ clock in the evening on Saturday according to Floresta Punong Barangay Evelyn Linchoco who informed the Jovellar Municipal Police Station.
The victim was identified by his relatives as Ernani Llona y Lominario, 34 years old, married, laborer, a resident of Barangay Floresta, Jovellar, Albay.
Responding team led by Police Senior Inspector Dexter Nabol proceeded to the place of incident. Initial investigation disclosed that the victim’s body was discovered by his wife Gemalyn Llona y Malaca at about 6:00 o’ clock in the morning of February 26 2017.
The victim was lying face down beside the Floresta barangay road.
Police has recovered two empty shells for M-16 assault rifle and one live ammunition from the same caliber in the crime scene.
The case is still under investigation.
