Tabaco City, [02.22.17] – A former village chief [punong barangay] of Makabugos, Libon, Albay was killed at dusk yesterday by unknown motorcycle riders along the national road in Purok 4, Bantayan, Tabaco City, Tabaco City Police report said.

The victim was identified as Salvador Riparep Malana, Sr. of Purok 4, Barangay of Makabugos, Libon, Albay.

He was shot at 5:15 o’ clock in the afternoon of February 21, 2017 at Purok 4, Bantayan, Tabaco City on board on a motorcycle going to Ligao City by the suspects.

He sustained two fatal wounds on his neck and head and died on the scene. Luckily his lady back ride survived in the attack and is under the police custody.

Malana Sr., was last seen alive in Barangay San Roque fish port who bought fish.
