Legazpi City, [02.22.17] – A twin episodes of fatal shooting has rocked the municipality of Daraga, Albay on Tuesday and both perpetrated by still unidentified suspects in Barangay Tagas, Daraga, Albay and in Zone 3, Barangay Talahib, Daraga, Albay, Albay Police Provincial Office report said.
The first incident happened at 2:35 o’ clock early dawn on Tuesday along Magayon Drive, Barangay Tagas, Daraga, Albay killing padyak driver.
The victim was identified as Dennis Marollano Mirandilla, 30 years old, single, a padyak driver and pugon maker.
He was shot by still unidentified suspect while riding on his bicycle. He died from a lone gunshopt wound from his back that pierced to his right breast after he was rushed by personnel of Albay Health Emergency Management [AHEM] and was brought to Bicol Regional Training and Teaching Hospital [BRTTH], according to the attending physician, Dr Aldrin Ocampo.
Initial investigation conducted by Daraga Police revealed the victim was shot at around 2:35 o’ clock Tuesday morning near Gabbis Resto Bar, by still unidentified suspects using unknown caliber of firearm.
The second shooting incident has also transpired at noon time of Tuesday in Barangay Talahib, Daraga, Albay , a witness told the police.
The victim was identified as a certain Ronnie Orje y Loma, 44 years old, single of Zone 2, Barangay Talahib, Daraga, Albay.
He was found lying on the ground with gunshot wound on his right face and in other parts of his body, he was rushed to the Municipal Health Office, Daraga, Albay, but was declared dead on arrival by Dr. Mercy Z. Chua, the Medical Officer of Daraga Municipal Health Office.
Police has recovered seven (7) pieces of fired cartridges and one (1) piece of unfired cartridges in the crime scene.
Identities of the suspects and the motives on the shooting incidents are still under investigation.
