President Rodrigo Duterte assured the Bicolanos that Vice President will stay until the end of her term.

The President responded to a question by the local media on “Oust-Robredo” issue after the ground breaking ceremony of Package 2A: Construction of Landslide Facilities or the Site Development of Bicol International Airport Thursday afternoon in Barangay Alobo, Daraga, Albay.

“I will assure Leni and the rest of the Bicol Region that you will have her position until the very of her term. And there is no such things in removing a Vice President,” Duterte explained.

Duterte also denied and brushed aside about speculations purpotedly plot to unseat Robredo from her post.

Wild “Oust-Robredo” conjectures went wild after Vice President Leni Robredo quit her post after quitting housing Secretary, During the ground breaking ceremony of Package 2A: Construction of Landslide Facilities or the Site Development and other buildings of Bicol International Airport on Thursday afternoon, Duterte denied that there’s no truth that there’s a plot to remove Robredo from her post.

“I will assure Leni and the rest of the Bicol Region that you will have her position until the very of her term. And there is no such things in removing a Vice President,” Duterte explained.

Rumors came after the Vice President resigned as chairperson of Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council.

Robredo’s resignation letter as chair of Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council was sent to President Duterte last December 5.

She cited last week in a statements that they’re having major differences in principles and values and an unspecified plot to remove her from the vice presidency and hinted that “the events of recent days” indicate that “a plot to steal the Vice Presidency is now being set into motion.”
