Legazpi City, [11.25.16] – At least two persons have died and one policeman is missing off the sea waters of Barangay Mapid, Lagonoy, Camarines Sur after theirt motorized banca capsized due to rough sea, a sketchy report reaching Camp Simeon A. Ola said.

lagonoyThe ill-fated sea craft was en route to Garchitorena, Camarines Sur to conduct police operation, but it overturned due to rough seas caused bad weather.

The unnamed motorized banca was carrying passengers of the joint elements of Criminal Investiation and Detection Team-Camarines Sur [CIDT-Camarines Sur] led by Police Chief Inspector Ronnie  Pabia  and Police Intelligence Branch-Camarines Sur Police Provincial Office.

Tomas Rentoy VII and Isagani Dadis,the two civilian agents were among the casualties while SPO4 Edwin Pagao  was still missing. as of posting time.

The tragic incident happened at the height of Tropical Cyclone “Marce” where storm warning Signal No. 1 is still in effect and sea travel is risky over the sea waters of northern and eastern seaboards of Northern Luzon, Central and Southern Luzon.

Search and rescue operation is still being conducted by Philippine Coast Guard, PNP Maritime Group, Lagonoy Police and Tinambac Police
