Matnog, Sorsogon [04.29.16] – The A coconut farmer was killed this morning after he was shot several times by still unidentified suspects in Barangay Sisigon, Matnog, Sorsogon, police report said.
The victim was identified by Matnog Police as Samuel Hapon, legal age, coco farmer of Barangay Sisigon. He was shot to death by unidentified suspects at 6:25 in the morning.
Initial police investigation conducted, the perpetrators were believed to be members of New People’s Army, however, the motive is still unknown.
Hapon was able to survived a slay try hatched against him in 2013, after providing an information to the Philippine Army about the rebels camp in Sitio Gabod, Barangay Sisigon, but he did not able to survived the attack against him this morning, the report ended.
The killing of Hapon is the latest shooting incident recorded in Matnog town following the assassination of Cayetano Gallanosa Oro, Jr, a local candidate running fo municipal councilor in Matnog.
The shooting incident happened last April 25, 2016 in Barangay Pawa.
