Daraga, Albay, [02.23.19] – Three suspected drug pushers were reported to be neutralized in a police anti-illegal drugs operations on Friday afternoon in Purok 7, Barangay, Binitayan, Albay, a police report said.
In a statement from Police Senior Inspector Mayvell Barcia Gonzales, Public Information Officer of Albay Police Provincial Office to www.philexaminer.com the victims have resisted arrest and tried to shot a police poseur buyer after sensing the buy-bust.
The joint personnel of Daraga Municipal Police Station, 2nd Albay Provincial Mobile Force Company (2nd Albay PMFC), Police Intelligence Branch (PIB), Regional Intelligence Division 5 (RID5), Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA ROV), Regional Mobile Force Batallion 5 (RMFB5), 97 Military Intelligence Company (97 MICO), 9th Military Intelligence Batallion (9th MIB) and 9th Infantry Division, Philippine Army (9th ID PA) has conducted buy-bust operation.
The suspects died in the buy-bust operation.
The victims were identified the victims in the police report as Pedrito Marco y Tibay, a.k.a. “Mao”, 34 years old with live-in partner, Jeruh Salem Catubig y Nidea, 37 years old a.k.a. “Bunker” and Pete John Carlo Rima y Tibay 35, years old, single all of Purok 7, Barangay Binitayan, Daraga, Albay.
Responding personnel from the Regional Crime Laboratory Office have recovered-five (5) small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu with an estimated market value of PhP150,000.00, Php30,000.00 buy-bust money and three calibers of short firearms.
This is the latest reported bloody incident of a police anti-illegal drugs operation this year in the municipality of Daraga were three suspects were neutralized.
Last January 9, 2019, Christian Mesias, alias “Tyanak” of Barangay Anislag, Daraga, Albay was neutralized in an anti-illegal drugs operation [buy-bust] in Purok Sunkist, Barangay Balinad, Daraga, Albay.
