A fugitive who went into hiding for ten years was arrested by police in Sibalom, Antique.

Legazpi City, [11.0.18] – It was a fateful end on Sunday evening for an elusive wanted rapist’s flight. An outlaw who was into hiding for a decade was successfully arrested by police on Sunday evening in Barangay Inabasan, Sibalom, Antique.
A police report reaching Camp BGen. Simeon A. Ola identified the arrested person as Wenceslao Tura Aquino, 56 years old, married, farmer.
The 56 years old suspect was arrested by combined elements of Viga Municipal Police Station and Sibalom Municipal Police Station 6:20 o’ clock in the evening of Sunday, November 4, 2018, in the village of Inabasan.
Aquino was arrested the by virtue of a warrant of arrest for violation of Republic Act 8353 also known as “The Anti-Rape Law of 1997” with no bail recommended.
Prior to his arrest, the suspect is facing rape charge and was declared as Number #1 Municipal Most Wanted in Viga, Catanduanes and has been into hiding in Antique province with his family for the past ten years, Police Chief Inspector Maria Luisa C. Calubquib said.
“Little did he know that the long arm of the law, through intel-driven police work aided by the community and social media technology, will eventually catch up with him.” The PRO-5 Spokesperson ended.
