Arrested security personnel to face attempted murder and illegal possession of firearm charges.

Legazpi City, [10.14.18] – A member of Capitol Complex Security Unit was arrested this afternoon by the members of close-in security personnel of Congressman Rolando G. Andaya, Jr for gun possession, a report from the Camarines Sur Provincial Police Office reaching Camp Brigadier General Simeon A. Ola.
Ray John Musa y Tubana, 26 years old, member of Capitol Complex Security Unit and a resident of Sitio Ilao, Himaoo, Pili, Camarines Sur was arrested at around 3:00 o’ clock in the afternoon in Barangay Cadlan Pili Camarines Sur in front of the Civil Service Commission, a police report said.
Musa was accosted allegedly by Police Chief Inspector Samuel A. Alforte, [Retired] a close in security details of the Majority Floor Leader together with Mayor Roberto M. Matamorosa after he was sighted suspiciously roaming around and attempted to come close and tried to take a firearm from his waist.
The caliber .38 revolver [Smith @ Wesson] with a defaced serial number gun was recovered after it slipped away from the suspect’s waist.
The revolver loaded with five live ammunition was turned-over to PO3 Renan Bongalon, a responding policeman who is on duty to COMELEC Camarines Sur.
The suspect will be charged for violation of Republic Act 10591 and attempted murder.
Under Republic Act No. 10591 or Firearm and Ammunition Regulation Act – the penalty of prision mayor in its maximum period shall be imposed upon any person who shall unlawfully acquire or possess ammunition for a Class-B light weapon.
