It”s been forty days since the former broadcaster Joey M. Llana was killed last July 20, 2018, in front of their residence in Peñafrancia, Daraga, Albay – the case has to issue just yet a breakthrough statements on their investigation.

The “Task Force Llana” has a lot of things to accomplish in coming up with an assurance that an investigation could provide an assurance that a justice is not an elusive dream here in Albay in particular for media practitioners.

The bereaved family of the slain broadcaster is contending their griefs and sorrows in hoping against hope that justice will be served to them in due time.

As the lead investigating team is burdened to comply with their weekly progress report on the case, the broad shoulders of the investigating team under Police Chief Inspector Benito E. Dipad, Jr – must carry on their task in carrying the weight of expectations from the family and the local media industry of Albay.

The expectations are equally high on the part of Bicol PNP Chief Police Chief Superintendent Arnel B. Escobal to prove his worth as the head of “Task Force Llana” that the investigation can produce the result that would identify the “person of interests” who masterminded the murder.

With this hoping against hope as of this moment is a more practical approach to practice stoicism than to resign into wishful thinking that will make Joey Llana who is lying down under his grave now, will refrain in making his comments about the conduct of investigation on his death is not too slow and obscene.
