Legazpi City, [08.02.18] – A new regional political party in Bicolandia is set to launch its maiden political debut on Saturday, August 4, 2018 via a regional media convergence to be held in Legazpi City.
In a press statement issued by Attorney Jorge V. Sarmiento, the President of Kusog Bikolandia expounds the philosophy of their group: as a regional political party, it seeks to advance the distinct political identity and ideology for Bikol progress and growth, just like other political parties.
Kusog Bikolandia is not part of the party-list system and will not seek to promote sectoral interests and enhance representation, particularly among the marginalized and the underrepresented sectors, we, as a regional political party, we advance our distinct political identity and ideology for Bikol progress and growth, Sarmiento explained in the statement.
It will focus on championing the geographical or domestic interests which are commonly confined or inherent to any given political aggrupations, the statement added.
The common territorial and cultural nuances were among the basis of unity that formed the group anchored on common political vision, ideology, and aspiration.
Its fundamental beliefs reflect the prevailing regional culture.
We gather our strength and draw inspiration from our own people, such that we are independent and separate from other traditional national political parties – but may enter into tactical alliances with other interest groups based on principle and commonality on regional aspiration and priorities.
