Camp BGeneral Simeon A. Ola, Legazpi City, [07.26.18] – A troop of policemen who were returning from police community relation work in the southern village in Camalig town has survived in an ambuscade try on Wednesday.

A belated report reaching Camp BGeneral Simeon A. Ola, the incident transpired along the vicinity of Barangay Maninila at about 12:45 noon of July 25, 2018.

Sixteen personnel of Camalig Municipal Police Station led by Police Senior Inspector Allan D. Concepcion, Deputy Chief of Police of Camalig Police Station were attacked by undetermined number of Communist Terrorist Group [CTGs].

The police were on their way back to downtown Camalig from barangay visitation as part of their police-community relation activities at the villages of Taloto and Mabunga when their enemies strike.

A landmine detonated and Concepcion’s troops were subsequently fired upon by the undetermined armed group.

The police were able to return fire and successfully repulsed the attack by their enemies as they were safely extracted to Barangay Cotmon, Camalig, Albay.

No reported casualty or injury on the PNP personnel
